Location
Central Province (CP) is located in the southern coast of New Guinea, bordering the Gulf of Papua to the south, Milne Bay Province to the east, Oro Province (Northern Province) to the north and Gulf Province to the west. Central Province surrounds the National Capital District (NCD) that includes Port Moresby. Divided into four districts including Goilala District, Kairuku/Hiri District, Rigo District and Abau District.
