Location
Lat 47° 55' 60N Long 118° 4' 60E Halgol (Halhgol) is located at an elevation of 2014' / 613m on the west bank of the Khalkhin Gol in Dornod Province in Mongolia. Also known as Khalkhgol due to the proximity to the Khalkhin Gol. Nearby is Sümbur (Sumber, Sambur).
Today
After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Halgol (Khalkhgol) was combined with Sümbur (Sumber, Sambur) to form one town.
