Location
Lat 25° 7' 42N Long 121° 44' 31E  Keelung Bay (Kirun Bay) borders Keelung (Kirun, Jilong) on the northern tip of Formosa (Taiwan). Also known as Keelung Harbor or Kirun Harbor. Divided into the "Inner Harbor" nearer to shore and "Outer Harbor". Offshore bordering the Outer Harbor is Shoryo-to (Shoryo Island), Toban-sho (Toban Island) and Chusonshi-to (Chusonshi Island). During the Japanese occupation of Formosa between 1895–1945 known as Kīrun Bay. Also spelled Kirun Bay or Kiirun Bay. Today known as Keelung Harbor (Keelung Bay) in China.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, used as a shipping port by Japanese merchant vessels and the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN).
