Aircraft History Built by Consolidated at San Diego. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24 serial number unknown. Assigned to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PB4Y-1 Liberator bureau number unknown. Wartime History This aircraft was abandoned at West Field on Tinian. Wreckage The remains of this aircraft aircraft remains in the jungle to the west of the airfield, oriented east to west. Don Farrell adds on August 29, 2015: "The wreckage appears to have U.S. Navy (USN) markings. Inside the cockpit is a dataplate with the following information: MPGY Southern Aircraft Corp.
