Location
Located on the outskirts of Townsville. This was a prewar cattle route road. Named Stock Route as it was the area cattle were mustered. Also known as "Stockroute" or "Stockroute Field".

Wartime History
During February 1942, this stock route road was leveled and graded into an single 3,600' gravel surfaced runway, without any other facilities but was connected by a gravel road to Duckworth Street in Townsville.

Today
Disused since the war.
