Aircraft History
Built by Aichi during January or February 1941. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) Type 99 Ku Ku Kamba (D3A1 Model 11) Val manufacture number 3133.

Mission History
On December 7, 1941 took off on a dive bombing mission against U. S. warships in Pearl Harbor. This Val crashed at Aiea Heights on Oahu.

After the crash, pieces of this Val were recovered. At least two pieces were later donated and placed on display at museums.

A piece of wreckage with a component dataplate with serial number 3196 is displayed at the Fort DeRussy / US Army Museum with accession number HAW 2234.

A main dataplate with serial number 3133 is displayed at the USS Arizona Museum.
