Memorial plaque on propeller blade and .50 caliber Browning machine gun recovered from the crash site of B-24D 41-40981 displayed at Brian Hall's office in Buderim, Queensland.
The plaque reads: "This propeller and .5" Browning machine gun was recovered from th wreck of a U.S. Liberator B24 bomber serial No. 42-40981 by crew members of Hall Contracting Ptv. Ltd. whilst carrying out a dredging contract for the Australian Government in Torres Strait in 1991.
The crew ditched low on fuel returning from a bombing raid on Wewak P.N.G. on the 17th August 1943.

This stands as a memorial to the American airmen who served in the defense of Australia during World War II."
