Wartime History
Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA). During the Pacific War, transported to Saipan Island. After the American landing in June 1944 this tank was disabled and abandoned on Saipan Island.

This tank is damaged on the right side and the right tread is missing.

This tank is displayed atop a concrete pad at Banadero Memorial Park at Banadero on Saipan Island. During the 1980s, the tank was painted with green and yellow paint with a large Japanese flag on the sides of the turret. By the early 2000s, the paint had faded.
