Ship History Built by Higgins Industries Shipyard in New Orleans, Louisiana. Laid down as Freight and Cargo (FP-Type). Launched as FP-177. Commissioned in the U.S. Navy (USN) in the middle of 1944. Later, redesigned Freight and Supply Type (FS-177). Wartime History During 1944 operated in the South-West Pacific Area (SWPA).
