Ship History
Built by Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company's Fore River plant. Laid down on January 2, 1934 at Quincy, Massachusetts. Launched on May 21, 1936, and commissioned on February 24, 1937, Captain Burton H. Green in command.

On August 9, 1942 sunk during the Battle of Savo Island.
