Administratively, PT 649 to PT 660, were to be assigned to Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron 45 (PTRon 45). Instead, during April 1945, on paper assigned as lend-lease to the Soviet Union, but never delivered.
On August 27, 1946 reclassified as small boat, C105343. Reclassified as floating equipment December 3, 1948. Sold June 30 , 1958. Purchased by Orlando Brown of Oakland, CA and named "Porpoise".
This PT Boat was acquired by Save The PT Boat. Transported to Portland, Oregon and
restored by volunteers to World War II configuration and color scheme and christened in 2005. Docked at the Naval Reserve/Coast Guard base at 6735 North Basin Ave. Swan Island.
