Ship History
MV Olvira was a 60' launch with two masts, and diesel-powered engine. Prewar used by the Australian government as a coastal launch operating in the Territory of Papua.

Wartime History
On May 5, 1942 at Tufi embarks seven American airmen: Ford, Disbro, Ashley, Roberts, Long, Loranger and Oclis the crew of B-26 Marauder 40-1418 that force landed April 11, 1942. Two days later, Olvira arrives at Wygani where the passengers disembarked to await another vessel.

Ultimate fate unknown.
