Ship History
Built by Kawasaki Shipbuilding K. K. at Tokyo. Launched and completed October 1939. Named Kenyo Maru and purchased by Kokuyo Kisen for use as a cargo vessel.

Sinking History
On January 14, 1944 at 7:00pm hit by a torpedo in the stern fired by USS Guardfish (SS-217) and was set on fire and sinks fifteen minutes later at roughly Lat 5-23N, Long 141-32E. On March 10, 1944 officially removed from the Navy list.
