Also known as Sutsuki and Susuki this wreck was originally
a Momi Class Destroyer.
Severely damaged in a collision then sent to
Truk. It has a replacement bow that was installed after the
Sunk on July 3, 1944 at Truk Lagoon by either
aircraft or possibly a US submarine torpedo.
The wreck is in shallow
water, the bow only 10' deep and 30' at the stern. The ship is in bad condition due to the attack and resulting
fire. It is rapidly deteriorating because its in shallow water. Rooms
contain personal effects, bottles, small arms and other debris. There
is a single large smoke stack and several gun platforms.
