At Close Quarters
PT Boats in the United States Navy

The book begins with a foreword by U.S. President John F. Kennedy who was a PT Boat captain in the South Pacific in command of PT-109 until sunk August 2, 1943 then in command of PT-59 from September 1943 until November 1943.

This is a massive volume, the book includes many interesting appendixes: a detailed index, listings of PT-Boat crews losts and ships and text notes.

This book is a reprint published by the PT Boaters Association.  An invaluable history of WWII PT-Boat operations worldwide, it is a volume anyone interested this detailed story will be interested in.

Reprinted by the Naval Institute Press on March 31, 2003. Available online at HyperWar: At Close Quarters PT Boats in the United States Navy in HTML webpage format.
