Battle of the Bismarck Sea

This is a definative book about one of the turning point actions in the New Guinea campaign, when a convoy of Japanese transports were sucessfully intercepted and sunk by American and Australian aircraft in the Bismarck Sea, thus preventing the reinfocement of the Japanese 18th Army in New Guinea.

The book includes several outstanding appendixes for those seeking additional details, including air units involved in the battle and their commanders, details on the Japanese ships and their passengers, also sighting reports and ordiance dropped from Allied aircraft.
