San Remo Club RAAF World War II Memorial
This memorial is dedicated to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) personnel lost during the fighting over New Britain (including Major Gen Peter Cosgrove's uncle). The obsidian stone obelisk has a propeller recovered from Beaufighter A19-139. Nearby is an engine from Beaufighter A19-133. Cecilie Benjamin from the Walindi Resort was instrumental in establishing the memorial.
