Renandi is located on the north coast of Guadalcanal bordering Iron Bottom Sound. To the west is Honiara and Point Cruz.  Also spelled "Renandi".

Wartime History
On July 5, 1942 Japanese forces landed at Renandi during their initial Japanese landing on Guadalcanal and built docks at this location. During August 1942, occupied by the U. S. Marine Corps (USMC) and captured the docks.

During the initial phase of the Battle of Guadalcanal, Renandi was used by the Americans as a landing area for supplies and troops until this location came into Japanese artillery range. Afterwards, Lunga Point was used as the primary American anchorage until Guadalcanal was secured.
