Lat 9° 32' 6S Long 160° 29' 16E  Aola Bay borders Aola (Aula, Tenaghau) the north coast of Guadalcanal. To the west forty miles away is Lunga Point.

Wartime History
On November 4, 1942 at 5:30am U. S. Navy (USN) Task Force 65 (TF 65) including USS Manley (DD-74), USS McKean (DD-90), USS Neville (APA-9), USS Heywood (APA-6) and USS Fomalhaut (AK-22) entered Aola Bay and landed at Aola.
