Lat 5° 0'21.31"S Long 151° 14' 57.86"E Ulamona is located on the northern coast of New Britain near Ubili. Offshore to the northwest is Lolobau Island.
The Catholic mission established a timber sawmill at this location that remained in operation until the start of the Pacific War.
Occupied by the Japanese during early 1942. During the Japanese occupation of New Britain the sawmill was possibly used by the Japanese.
