    Sohe District Oro Province Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Location
Sohe District is the western half of Oro Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Sohe District includes Higaturu Rural, Kira Rural, Kokoda Rural LLG and Tamata Rural LLG. Borders Ijvitari District to the east and southeast. Borders Morobe Province to the north, Central Province to the west and south. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in Northern District (Northern Province) in the Territory of Papua. Today part of Oro Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Sohe District

Higaturu Rural LLG  located at the center of Oro Province includes Higaturu.
Higaturu  inland village today Higaturu oil palm.
Uhita  inland village west of Popondetta and Girua Airfield (Dobodura No. 7).
Asisi (Asis)  located to the southeast of Wairopi.

Kira Rural LLG  located at the northwest corner of Oro Province bordering Morobe Province.

Kokoda Rural LLG  includes the western portion of Oro Province includes Kokoda.
Kokoda (Kokoda Station)  located at the northern end of the Kokoda Trail includes Kokoda Airfield.
Kokoda Highway (Kokoda-Buna Road)  road the spans from Kokoda to Buna.
Yodda  located to the north of Kokoda.
Saga  located to the northwest of Kokoda.

Tamata Rural LLG  located at the north center of Oro Province includes Ioma.
Cape Ward Hunt  located on the north coast of New Guinea.
Deboin  located at the tip of Cape Ward Hunt.
Douglas Harbor  located on Cape Ward Hunt.
Ambasi  located on the north coast at the mouth of the Opi River.
Opi  located on the south side of the mouth of the Opi River on the north coast of New Guinea.
Opi River  mouth of the Opi River is located at Opi village on the north coast of New Guinea.
Iwaia (Iwai'ia, Iwaia Mission, Iwai'ia)  located on the north coast.
Duvira (Maimba)  prewar Anglican mission inland from the north coast.
Mambare Bay (Mamba Bay)  located on the north coast of New Guinea.
Mambare River (Mamba River)  large river that empties into Mambare Bay on the north coast of New Guinea.
Ioma  inland village along the Mambare River with Ioma Airfield.
