    Markham Valley Morobe Province Papua New Guinea (PNG)
The Markham Valley includes the Markham River in the interior of New Guinea. Located between the Finisterre Range to the north, Ramu Valley to the northwest and the Highlands to the south. In 1873 named the Markham Valley by British Captain John Moresby of after Sir Clements Markham, Secretary of the British Royal Geographical Society. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Territory of New Guinea. Today, located in Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Markham Valley locations include Nadzab.
