Cape Sudest Oro Province Papua New Guinea (PNG)

Cape Sudest is located on the north coast of New Guinea to the south of Embogo and to the north of the mouth of the Sambogo River. Further to the northwest is Hariko.

Wartime History
After the Battle of Buna, the US Army built a road that connected Cape Sudet inland to Borio (Boru) and another coastal road running north to Hariko and south towards Embogo. An LST landing area and jetties were constructed on the coast. Also a hospital on the coast and staging area inland.
