Location
Lat 14° 33' 37N Long 121° 4' 52E  Pasig located at the eastern edge of Manila in the National Capital Region of Luzon in the Philippines. Today known as Pasig City and is a municipality of Manila at an elevation of 65' / 19m above sea level. Borders Quezon City and Mandaluyong City to the west, Marikina City to the north, Makati City, Pateros, and Taguig City and Antipolo and the municipality of Cainta and Taytay in Rizal Province to the east.

Pasig River (Ilog Pasig)
The Pasig River connects Laguna de Bay in the east through the center of Manila dividing the city into the left bank (southern half) and right bank (northern half) then empties into Manila Bay to the west. On February 4, 1945 during the Battle of Manila Japanese forces retreated across the Pasig River into the south half of Manila. The next day advanced units of the US Army 1st Calvary Division crossed Pasig River in pursuit, and were joined by the 37th Infantry Division.
