The National Capital Region (NCR) contains the national capital Manila plus the sixteen surrounding cities and municipalities in Luzon in the Philippines. Also known as Metro Manila. Today, the National Capital Region is the seventh largest metropolitan area in terms of size in Asia, and the sixteenth in terms of of urban population worldwide.

Quezon (Quezon City)  located to the northeast of Manila today the largest city in the Philippines
Pasig (Pasig City)  located to the east of Manila.
Pasay (Pasay City)  located to the south of Manila.
Mandaluyong (Mandaluyong City)  located to the east of Manila.
Caloocan (Kalookan)  located to the north of Manila.
Makati (Makati City)  located to the south of Manila.
