Lat 15° 52' 37N  Long 120° 53' 57E  Located on Route 8. Four miles to the south-east is San Jose. To the north-west is San Roque and Umingan also along the highway. Due south connected on a track route 99 is Munoz.

Battle of Lupao
After the American landing at Lingayen Gulf, the 10th Tank Regiment, less one company was based at Lupao.

On February 2, 1945 the town was assaulted by the US Army 6th Infantry Division, 35th Infantry Regiment. Just outside town, the Americans came under fire from two tank companies and infantry that dug into dry rice paddies, haulting the attack. The US Army 161st Infantry Regiment joined the attack and setup a road block to prevent the defender's escape. The 10th Tank Regiment lost 33 tanks, 26 trucks, three 75mm guns and 300 casualties in the Lupao area.
