Lat 13° 7' 60N Long 123° 43' 60E  Legaspi is located in southeast Luzon. Also known as Legazpi Port, Legaspi or San Roque. Borders Albay Gulf to the east, Mayon Volcano to the north and Daraga to the southwest.

Wartime History
Site of Japanese landings on the southeastern tip of Luzon on December 11/12, 1941 by a force debarking form Palau of the Kimura Detachment of the 33rd Regiment. The town remained under Japanese control until April 1, 1945 when the U.S. Army landed at Legaspi and liberated the area.
