Lat 16° 5' 9N Long 120° 56' 10E  Town located on the Highway 5, towards the Caraballo Mountains and Balete Pass. During the war, known as "Kapintalan".

Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese Army during December 1941. During early 1945, the Japanese prepared strong positions in the Kapintalan area, astride all approaches to Balete Pass. On April 19, 1945 the US Army, 25th Division liberated Kapintalan. After capture, the Division launched a three-pronged attack toward Balete Pass, with forces attacking east-north-east from Kapintalan, and from along the west side of Highway 5 and from Kapintalan.
