Location Lat 16° 5' 9N Long 120° 56' 10E Kapintalan is located at an elevation of 1,669' / 508m in Nueva Ecija Province on Luzon in the Philippines. Borders Highway 5 near the Caraballo Mountains and Balete Pass. Also known as "Kapintalan". Wartime History During late December 1941, occupied by the Japanese Army. In early 1945, the Japanese prepared strong positions in the Kapintalan area, astride all approaches to Balete Pass. On April 19, 1945 the U.S. Army, 25th Division liberated Kapintalan. After capture, the Division launched a three-pronged attack toward Balete Pass, with forces attacking east-north-east from Kapintalan, and from along the west side of Highway 5 and from Kapintalan.
