Location
Lat 16° 43' 13N Long 120° 58' 42E Butitio is a town located in the mountains of Ifugao Province on Luzon in the Philippines.. Also known as Batitio.
Wartime History
The Japanese 14th Army Headquarters moved to this inland mountain town, and fought against the US Army until Japan's surrender. The remainder of the 2nd Tank Division fought here as infantry, their tanks long since destroyed in battles in Pangasinan and central Luzon in the weeks after the U.S. Army landing.

(FEAF) B-25s and P-38s support ground forces on Luzon,
hit Japanese forces in the Butitio area.
