Lat 41° 17' 60S Long 74° 46' 60E Located on the southern coast of the North Island bordering Wellington Harbor to the west is . Wellington is the capital of New Zealand.

Wartime History
During the night of March 8, 1942 Japanese submarine I-25 launched their E14Y "Glen" float plane piloted by W/O Fujita Nobuo that overflew Wellington and returned safely. Next, I-25 and the same aircraft patrolled over Auckland.

Cook Straight
On February 22, 1942 Japanese submarine I-10 was detected by radio detection, but not found in subsequent aerial searches.
