    New Zealand  
New Zealand is located in the South Pacific. Further to the west is Australia and to the north above the equator is New Caledonia and Fiji. On September 1, 1939 New Zealand entered World War II when the United Kingdom declared war on Germany and contributed troops and material to the war effort. At the start of the Pacific War, used as a staging base for American forces and part of the ferry route for ships from the United States transporting troops and materials.

North Island
Auckland  located on the north island on the northern coast.
Devonport  suburb of Auckland includes the National Museum of the Royal New Zealand Navy
Featherston  located in the South Wairarapa District, Wellington Region Japanese POW Camp and riot
Wellington  located on the south coast of the North Island bordering Wellington Harbor.
Karori  suburb of Wellington includes coastal defense gun battery.

South Island
Christchurch  located on the south island.
Wigram  suburb to the west of Christchurch Wigram Airfield and RNZAF Museum.
