Location
Hokkaidō Prefecture is the northernmost province of Japan and includes Hokkaido Island in Japan. Also spelled Hokkaido Prefecture. To the south is the Tsugaru Strait and Honshū. Borders the La Pérouse Strait (Laperouse Strait) to the north.
