Island Group, the Ceram Sea is to the north, and Banda Sea to the south and New Guinea (West Papua) to the east. To the east is Waroe Bay. Offshore to the southeast are Haroekoe Island (Harakoe) and Pelauw Island. During World War II, known as "Ceram Island". Also known as "Seran Island" or "Serang Island".
