Lat 17° 48' 11S Long 177° 24' 58E Nadi is located on
the western central coast of Viti Levu Island in Ba Province in Western Province of Fiji (Republic of Fiji). Nadi is the national capital. Sometimes incorrectly spelled "Nandi" in wartime documents.
During the middle of 1952, U.S. Navy 3rd Construction Battalion (Seabees) Company C small-boat landing at Vunda Point at Nadi Bay. Later, an echelon of the U.S.
Army Americal Division was based in Fiji from March 1, 1943 to April 10, 1943.

This Hindu Temple is located at the junction of the Nadi-Lautoka by-pass about five miles from Nadi Airport. This location is tourist attraction for visiting air crews during the war.
