Lat 5° 32' 3S Long 154° 57' 55E Tinputs is located at the northeast corner of Bougainville Island in Autonomous Region of Bougainville (Bougainville Province) in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Also known as "Tinputz". Borders Tinputs Harbor. To the west is Dios.
During early 1942 occupied by the Japanese until the official surrender of Japan in September 1945. Attacked by Allied aircraft during late 1943 until July 1945.
