    Brunei (Sultanate of Brunei) Borneo 

Brunei (Sultanate of Brunei) is located on the northern coast of Borneo. Borders Brunei Bay and the South China Sea and is completely surrounded by the state of Sarawak State in Malaysia Borneo (East Malaysia). Brunei is the remnant of a very powerful sultanate that became independent from Great Britain in 1984.

Lat 4° 52' 60N Long 114° 55' 60E  Also known as Bandar Seri Begawan, Bruni, Brunei or Brunei Town.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, occupied by the Japanese. On July 1, 1945 the U. S. Navy (USN) made an amphibious landing the Australian Army 9th Division at Brunei Bay also Labuan Island and Muara Island.
