Location
The Aleutian Island Chain (Aleutian Islands) is located at the western end of Alaska in the United States. Borders the Bearing Sea to the north and North Pacific Ocean to the south. To the southwest is the Kurile Islands (Kuril, Chishima-Rettō). Located to the east is the Alaska Peninsula and Alaska mainland.

Attu Island  occupied by the Japanese June 6, 1942, liberated by the U. S. Army on May 11, 1943.
Massacre Bay  located on the southern coast of Attu Island.
Chichagof Harbor  located on the eastern side of Attu Island.
Attu Airfield (NAS Attu, Casco Field, Alexai Point)  located at Alexai Point and Casco Cove on Attu Island.
Attu Airfield (Japanese)  built by the Japanese bordering Holtz Bay on Attu Island, never completed.
Agattu Island  located in the Near Islands briefly occupied by the Japanese during June-July 1942.
MacDonald Bay (MacDonald Cove)  borders the northeast corner of Agattu Island.

Semichi Island Group (Semichi Islands)  located in the Near Island Group borders Semichi Pass to the east.
Alaid Island  located in the Semichi Islands.
Nizki Island  located in the Semichi Islands.
Shemya Island  located in the Semichi Island Group.
Shemya Airfield (Eareckson Air Force Station)  located on Shemya Island.

Rat Island Group (Rat Islands)  located at the western end of the Aleutian Islands.
Kiska Island  located in the Rat Islands occupied by the Japanese June 6, 1942 until July 23, 1943.
Kiska Harbor  located on the eastern shore of Kiska Island.
Little Kiska Island  located in the Rat Islands off Kiska Island bordering Kiska Harbor.
Segula Island  located in the Rat Islands to the west of Kiska Island.
Rat Island (Kryssei, Hawadax)  located in the Rat Islands to the west of Kiska Island.
Khvostof Island  located in the Rat Islands.
Davidof Island  located in the Rat Islands.
Little Sitkin Island  located in the Rat Islands.
Amchitka Island  located in the Rat Islands staging base for the Allied liberation of Attu and Kiska.
Constantine Harbor  inlet on the eastern end of the north coast of Amchitka Island.
Amchitka Airfield  built by the U. S. Army used for the duration of the Pacific War.
Semisopochnoi Island  located at the eastern end of the Rat Islands.
