Henry Mayer's Port Moresby's Micro History: Medical Supplies
(Lower, left) A unopened carlisle first aid packet from Botless Bay area.

(Top, left) Two US army medical dept dishes which i dug up at 17 mile farm in a area which has been bulldozed to make a log storage yard. Medic ampoules were dug up (along with someones wisdom tooth) in schwimmer drome area. Blue optrex glass eyesight protector came from 18 mile dump. The other medicine containers, thermometer holders, syringes and glass tubes have been found at various sites over morseby.

The pills in the vial with cork stopper seem to be common Australian issue. They are always found as a pair in rectangular waterproof tins (vesta's) and dont seem to have been popular judging by the many unused ones found around Bootless Bay and 17 Mile.
