Historian, Diver and Traveler
In memory Don Fetterly died October 20, 2005 doing what he loved: diving and searching for World War II aircraft wrecks.
Fetterly's passion is researching aircraft and shipwrecks. A traveler, researcher,
videographer, historian and sonar innovator. Fetterly traveled all over the Pacific, and shed light on the historical aspects
of some of the most interesting aircraft and shipwreck in Papua New
Guinea. He was among the first divers on the SS Masaya, s'Jacob and President Grant and helped discover B-24D "Crosair" 41-23752, Beaufighter A19-130 and an A6M5 Zero. Don was well known throughout veteran associations and with the PT Boat Association.
