Located on the starboard side of Fort Drum on (El Fraile Island) in Manila Bay.

Built prewar. Emplaced into the starboard side of Fort Drum with two 6" M1908MI guns in M1920 carriages, in a double level casemate. Named Battery McCrea in honor of Tully B. McCrea.

Wartime History
A US Army demolition charge detonated on April 13, 1945 at 10:00am blew off a portion of the casemate, launching it high into the air, landing atop Fort Drum.

This metal slab blown off in the explosion remains atop Fort Drum till this day.
