Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) as 75mm Mountain Gun Type 41 (1908) serial number unknown. Transported to eastern New Guinea.
Wartime History
Assigned to the 14th
Infantry Regiment field artillery under the command of Utsunomiya. This gun was abandoned in eastern New Guinea, the precise location unknown.
Wreckage
Until the 1970s this gun remained in situ in Papua New Guinea. Recovered by a Japanese group and transported to Japan. Donated to Yūshūkan (Yasukuni Museum) and displayed in the Great Exhibition Hall without a shield.
