Hi Sandie,

1/Lt Roy M YOUNG went missing aboard B-29 44-69665 on a mission to Kobe, Japan on June 5, 1945.

The aircraft was intercepted by Japanese fighters and crashed 23 miles from the coast of Southern Honshu. Nine parachutes were seen. From what I can see, 1/Lt Young is the only person from this crew still listed as missing.

Details are available on the Project PRIAM database here:-

Are you a relative of 1/Lt Young?

Cheers,

Daniel

I am not a relative of Roy Young. I am doing this research for a very dear friend. If anyone has pictures, stories, etc I would surely appreciate them. You may email me at smil1025@sc.rr.com

My relative who is MIA is Anthony F Eckhart who was a copilot of the Heaven Can Wait. This plane went down in the South Pacific on a bombing raid.......Always looking for more info on this plane as well.

Thank you so much
Sandie Miller
