Are these two separate movies (Japanese and American versions) or is it simply the one movie being advertised differently?

I cant wait to see Flags of Our Fathers, but I am intrigued by the second one, I havent heard of a movie dipicting how the Japanese fought from there view only the US view that they were blood thirsty savages. I hope the second one comes out soon, Flags is due out this Friday I believe.

The Letters From Iwo Jima movie isn't being shown anywhere around where I live..odd, since Flags was shown and had excellent attendance. Guess I'll wait for the DVD.
