42-5515 P61 - wreckage investigated?

Post by 425515 »

I have found sources that the P61 that went down October 18, 1944 was actually found and investigated after war. My Great Uncle, Harold Ozmun, was the radarman onboard.
I have heard the Vogelkop Peninsula, but have not really found any hard evidence.
Could somebody point me to whom in the Army Air Force I could contact to find this out?

But, does anyone know if they found the wreckage? I have read that they have. That should be so simple, should it not?

Hello Chris..

Have you been in contact with JPAC??? If not, here's their site: http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/

Someone there should be able to help. They are slow to respond...
