Solata Collection?

Post by cincolaters »

Hello Board-

I'm new here, and this is my first post. I'm a rabid WWII aviation junkie, like you all, I'm sure.

I understand this is for Pacific wrecks, and I don't mean to stray off topic, but does anyone here know what happened with Walter Solpata's collection in Ohio? He passed away last year, and the last I heard, the EPA was threatening to scrap all the planes for environmental reasons. God, I hope that hasn't happened.

Anyhow, just curious if anyone knows about it. It's such a treasure trove. Here are some pics: http://pacaeropress.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=3243121

Cheers -
