Dad flew B-25's with the 38th bomb group, he was a Green Dragons. He was hit in Nov. 1943 when he volunteered to fill out a raid the Dutch were doing. There seems to be no information on any action taking place the day he was hit in either the US or Dutch records. We lost dad in 2006 after 30 years and retiring as a Lt. Colonel. If any one has any information or photos I would be greatly interested. The photo of a Japanese fighter strafing a B-25 and the bullets are hitting the water was Dad. I grew up with that photo around the house for a far back as I can remember and I am 69. I have seen it with an indication that it was another pilot, are there several of these.
