90th Bomb Group

Post by B24Mike »

I'm trying to find information about my dad's time with the 90th Bomb Group. After completing a successful 36 mission tour with the 8th Air Force (445th Bomb Group flying B-24's), dad was reassigned to the PTO. I don't know if he transitioned into B-29's or stayed with B-24's. I would like to communicate with anyone who might have information about the 90th Bomb Group's operations between V-E Day and V-J Day.

Thanks in advance - Mike Simpson

Was your dad sent to the 90th B/G (H) ? They only flew B24's.
I have the mission orders from the 5th A/F to the 380th B/G (H) which also lists where each group was ordered to go, but nothing about any personel other than the 380th. The 90th and the 380th flew many if not most of the same missions, just one or the other bombed first.

Hello.
I'd be very interested to see the orders for the 321st Bomb Squad for April 1944. I'm specifically interested in orders to the "Hot Garters" crew flying serial number 42-41188 piloted by Bryant Paulsen. Do you have that and can you share? I am a reporter from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette working on a story about recovery of this plane.
Thanks.

Tracie, all I have is the 380th mission records. Within these are the mission orders from the 5th A/F, all groups but only where they were going nothing more, sorry
