42-73474 was B-24J-50-CO "Patches" of the 531st BS, 380th BG. It went MIA on April 20, 1945. MACR 14303 deals with its loss. I believe that after investigation of the site, this wreck was shown not to be a PT boat, but the remains of a Japanese Lugger. Further details can be found here:

Wes, No problems, that's what we're here for. Unfortunately I can't confirm whether any of the above servicemen were aboard 42-65143, nor can I confirm whether they are listed in MACR 5661 ...
