Pilot (USN) Details Wanted

Hi gang,
I am looking for the details of a US Navy pilot who was the captain of an 11 Squadron (RAAF) PBY Catalina A24-9 that was lost on 21 Jan 42. The only information I have is LT G. Hutchinson so can anyone confirm his details for me please?

Thanks

Re: AHS Centaur wreck found

This is great news.

I really hope they now look for one of the last remaining great mysteries of WWII that is is the wreck of the Montevideo Maru in which over 1000 Australians POW's died after it was torpedoed by the submarine, USS Sturgeon.

Re: B-24D crashes into Australian Army trucks

Hey West Front,
You may be confusing this crash in 1942 with the crash of a RAAF Beafort A9-557 which also crashed into army vehicles and killed 3 army personnel on 20 Jan 1945.

Hi Daniel,
In answer to your question about Tocumwal. Yes. It was named after Capt MacIntyre. IIRC the forums at ADF Serials had a topic discussion on this with a NAA image stating such.

Do you know the names of the six crew killed? I have asked a question about a Capt McIntyre killed same date in Queensland, Australia.
