I am in college right now going for a major in history. My real interest though is in exploring battlefields, especially WWII. Are there any good books that show the pacific battlefields in then and now pictures. I know they have a few on the European theatre. Also any good books that have color pictures of whats left on the islands?

I also have mixed emotions about the recovery of aricraft, it is true once found no matter who is along with you the word leaks out. WOW beautiful pictures! I really like them, thats what I want to do for my job, travel to the pacific and take pictures of whats left becasue you cant do it as much in Europe because of the denser population. Truely stunning pictures!

Movies

I cant wait to see Flags of Our Fathers, but I am intrigued by the second one, I havent heard of a movie dipicting how the Japanese fought from there view only the US view that they were blood thirsty savages. I hope the second one comes out soon, Flags is due out this Friday I believe.

What to do?

What to do about wrecks? First if there are human remains then they should be returned to their native country for proper burial, but the aircraft themselves should be left as a memorial to the sacrifices the crew made. If there is a wreck with no bones in it, their still is a possibility that there...
